These notices are specifically for the Benefice of Bratton, Edington & Imber, Erlestoke and Imber
While our churches remain shut over the next few weeks, you may like to use prayers on the Church of England website: http://www.churchofengland.org These include a form for Morning Prayer and Night Prayer for daily use, as well as the prayers I have copied into last week’s Mothering Sunday blog.
Easter this year will have to be celebrated in our homes, but when our churches do eventually re-open, we will gather for a special ‘Easter’ celebration. Hopefully, this will be during the Easter season (which lasts 50 days until Pentecost). In the meantime, home groups and other gatherings will have to be in the virtual world. I have already held a staff meeting with the benefice ministers in a conference video link online. These difficult times mean that many of us are learning new skills in order to keep in touch.
Andrew King has been working on a new benefice website. At present it is a work-in-progress, and there is plenty of scope for developing the individual church sections of it, but you may want to have a look at it as it stands: http://www.hullabaloojungleplay.co.uk/benefice/index.html
